Stella Dubczak
February 17, 1924 — August 31, 2015
Age 91, late of Hegewisch, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at St. Anthony Nursing Home, Crown Point, Indiana. Beloved wife of the late Milton (Matt) Dubczak. Loving mother of Joan Boskovich, Susan Dubczak, James (Lori) Dubczak, and Joseph Dubczak. Cherished grandmother of Dr. Stephen (Jenni) Boskovich, Dr. Andrea (Marlon) Camas, David Dubczak, and Chelsea Dubczak. Proud great-grandmother of Amelia, Luke, and Addison Boskovich and Marlon and Mathew Camas. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Jacob and Louise Kolodziej and brothers: John (Antoinette), Leo (Jean), and Walter Kolodziej. Stella loved to sing and served as president of the St. Florian Polish Choir. She could skillfully wield a crochet hook of any size. Intricate doilies, decorative potholders, and comfortable, colorful afghans were among her many creations. Although she was a resident of the Midwest her entire life, she traveled to 27 states and cruised the Caribbean. Her good - natured and gentle spirit will be missed by all.
