Phyllis J. Gajda (nee Janeczko), late of Calumet City, has bid farewell to this world on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the age of 81. 

 

Phyllis's personal life was filled with love and cherished relationships. She shared a beautiful journey with her late husband Richard Gajda, who now waits for her in eternity. Their union was one built on trust, mutual respect, and an unwavering commitment to one another's happiness.

Phyllis leaves behind Michael W. Janeczko, a kind-hearted brother who shared many treasured moments with her. Through thick and thin, they stood by each other's side as pillars of strength and unwavering support. Phyllis was not just a sister to Michael, but also a trusted friend and Michael looked out for her throughout her life.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Walter J. and Cecelia E. Janeczko. They provided her with the foundation of love and values that shaped her into the exceptional woman she became.


As an aunt, cousin, and friend, Phyllis's grace and compassion knew no bounds. She touched the hearts of many with her wisdom, kindness, and genuine love for humanity. Those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with Phyllis will forever cherish the memories they created together.


Throughout her career as a travel consultant spanning over four decades, Phyllis had the privilege of exploring the globe and sharing her passion with others.
