Nancy C. Dobrowski

Nancy C. Dobrowski, age 80, late of Burnham, IL passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband James Dobrowski of 58 years; beloved daughter Wendy (Timothy) White; proud grandmother of Kyle, Brent and Kailey White; dear sister to Robert “Bob” (Denise) Cundiff; favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Reathel Cundiff; sister Crystal Hemminger; brother Darryl Cundiff; great nephew Bryson Machnikowski.

Nancy was the beloved wife of James Dobrowski. Their love and devotion to each other was evident by all that knew them. Together they built a beautiful life and family. 

She was a devoted mother to Wendy (Timothy) White. Her daughter meant the world to her. She dedicated her life to building a strong mother-daughter relationship. She also shared a special bond with her son-in-law Tim who she cherished dearly. 

Nancy adored her three grandchildren. Always being very present in their lives. She was always there to support them through their endeavors and was their biggest cheerleader. 

She dedicated her life to family and creating everlasting relationships. Nancy was a loving, generous, and kind soul. She touched the lives of all those surrounding her. Her smile and joy always lit up the room. She enjoyed many things over the years from spending time with loved ones, the holidays (making her dumplings), traveling, attending her grandchildren’s events, rooting for the Cubs, and having a good meal (with extra salt). 

Nancy will be truly missed, but the impact she left will last a lifetime. 

A memorial service will be held at Hammond New Harvest Church, 1421 173rd Street, Hammond, IN 46324 on Friday, September 13th at 11:00am
