Laurence "Butch" G. Youngbloom (Ret. CPD)

Laurence G. Youngbloom, born December 25th 1942, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 25th, 2023 after being surrounded by family. Laurence was married to his high-school sweetheart Sandra Youngbloom and from that union came Lisa and then Eric. Laurence also known as Butch to family and friends was a devoted husband of almost 60 years and wonderful loving father. He proudly served in the Marines and protected the streets of Chicago for many years as a Chicago police officer where he later retired. Laurence was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge No. 7 and the Office of Emergency Management & Communications. He will truly be missed.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sandra Youngbloom, Daughter Lisa Cohs (Son-In-Law Dave Cohs), Granddaughter Valerie Cohs, Grandson Dylan Cohs, Son Eric Youngbloom (Daughter-In-Law Robin Youngbloom), Granddaugther Ashleigh Youngbloom, Sister Karen Stetina (Late Brother-In-law Kenneth Stetina) Nephew Kent Stetina, Niece Karrie Stetina Hasche, Robert Sloan Brother-in-law (Cathy Sloan) and Niece Samantha Sloan.
