John C. Stepek

John Stepek, a devoted father and respected member of the community, passed away unexpectedly on September 21st, 2025 at the age of 51. He left with his beloved wife Jennifer Stepek by his side. Born on June 28th, 1974, John lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his hard work and dedication to helping others when in need, as well as his unconditional love for his family.

John is survived by his four children: John, Jillian, Jordan, and Jacob, and his grandson Bryce, and bonus child Jesse, who were the pride and joy of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them, from attending their various sporting events to offering unwavering support and guidance. His legacy of love and commitment will live on through them.

John is also survived by both of his parents, John Stepek and Laurie Parejko, his sister Becky Taylor, 4 nieces, 2 nephews, and 4 great nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held on Saturday September 27th at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Opyt Funeral Home in Hegewisch, Illinois. His kind heart, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
