It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan M. Bugajski (nee Wojno) on July 13, 2024.She was a woman of grace and strength, whose presence illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to have known. Joan entered this world on October 25, 1946, and from that day forward, she embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
She was the cherished wife of the late Anthony J. Bugajski, their bond a testament to enduring love and unwavering companionship. Together, they created a loving home in Hegewisch, where they raised their children. They weathered life's storms hand in hand, creating a legacy of devotion that will forever echo through time.
Joan's nurturing spirit shone brightly in her role as a mother to Kathleen (Robert) Hicks, Christine (Kenneth) Bodzianowski, and Jennifer (John) Maali. Her love knew no bounds as she guided and supported her children through life's ups and downs with unwavering encouragement and boundless affection.
Her heart overflowed with pride for her grandchildren: John Jr., Elizabeth, Sarah, Catherine, Patrick, and Kenny Jr. Their laughter brought joy to her days, and their accomplishments were a source of immeasurable happiness for Joan.
In the tapestry of family ties, Joan held a special place as a caring sister to Anthony Wojno. Their bond was forged in childhood memories and shared experiences that will forever be cherished by those left behind.
As Joan departs this world to join her beloved parents Joseph and Helen Wojno in the embrace of eternity, we take solace in knowing that her legacy of love and kindness will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May we find comfort in the memories we hold dear, knowing that Joan's spirit will live on eternally in the lives she touched. Rest in peace, Joan M. Bugajski - your light will continue to shine brightly through those who carry your memory in their hearts.
