Javier Quezada

March 23, 1934 — April 9, 2024

Javier Quezada, a dedicated family man and provider, bid farewell to the world on April 9, 2024. He was born on March 23,1934, in Jalisco, Mexico, and raised his family in Hegewisch.
   
Javier is survived by his beloved wife, Maria J. Quezada (nee Noyola), who stood by his side for 61 years of marriage. His memory will forever live on through his loving children Martha (Salvador) Moreno and Xavier (late Lynn) Quezada, He was a proud grandfather to Jessica Quezada, Natalie Quezada, and Anthony Moreno, Although gone too soon, he now joins the late Michael Quezada in eternal peace.  
 
In the company of his extended family and friends, Javier was always welcoming and helpful in many ways. He shared a special bond with his siblings, Manuel Quezada, Ernesto Quezada, Guadalupe Quezada, and late Jose Quezada. Javier leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews with whom he enjoyed special moments and laughter in family gatherings.
 
Javier served his country with honor in the US Army, during his service, he was also a part of the US Military band. He dedicated 24 years of his life to the Wisconsin Steel Mill. After leaving the steel mill, he pursued a career as a stationary Engineer at the Chicago Field Museum, where he later retired. Javier’s passion for life was evident in his love for his family and watching his favorite soccer team, Chivas, and enjoying the outdoors. He was known for his exceptional repair skills and always had a helping hand ready for those in need.  
 
Javier’s presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will continue in the family he leaves behind.

Javier Quezada, un dedicado hombre de familia y proveedor, se despidió del mundo el 9 de abril de 2024. Nació el 23 de marzo de 1934 en Jalisco, México, y crió a su familia en Hegewisch.


A Javier le sobrevive su amada esposa, María J. Quezada (Noyola), quien estuvo a su lado durante 61 años de matrimonio. Su memoria vivirá para siempre a través de sus queridos hijos Martha (Salvador) Moreno y Xavier (fallecida Lynn) Quezada. Fue un orgulloso abuelo de Jessica Quezada, Natalie Quezada y Anthony Moreno. Aunque se fue demasiado pronto, ahora se une al fallecido Michael Quezada en paz eterna.


En compañía de su familia y amigos, Javier siempre fue acogedor y servicial en muchos sentidos. Compartió un vínculo especial con sus hermanos, Manuel Quezada, Ernesto Quezada, Guadalupe Quezada y el fallecido José Quezada. Javier deja numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas con los que disfrutó de momentos especiales y risas en las reuniones familiares.


Javier sirvió a su país con honor en el ejército, durante su servicio también formó parte de la banda militar. Dedicó 24 años de su vida a Wisconsin Steel Mill. Después de dejar la acería, siguió una carrera como ingeniero estacionario en el Museo Field de Chicago, donde luego se jubiló. La pasión de Javier por la vida era evidente en su amor por su familia, viendo a su equipo de fútbol favorito, Chivas, y disfrutando del aire libre. Era conocido por sus excepcionales habilidades de reparación y siempre tenía una mano amiga lista para quienes la necesitaban.


Todos los que lo conocieron extrañaremos muchísimo la presencia de Javier. Su legado de amor, bondad y trabajo duro continuará en la familia que deja atrás.
