I just wanted to tell you that I am so, so very sorry for your loss. My daughter has struggled with depression since she was 11. She thinks that if she tries hard enough she can change the world and help everyone. She has been hospitalized a few times for suicide attempts. I know that your daughter was a beautiful person. I believe that God's plan for some is to be with us for a short period of time to teach us love, compassion, and the hope of peace for all. She is with pour Heavenly Father now and will no longer suffer the anguish the severe depression brings. I will light a candle at church for your daughter and for the peace and healing of your family. I wish you well and your family and

Carli ... be a guardian angel, to those who are being mistreated and bullied, and to those who struggle to fit in. Help them, to be strong, emotionally and mentally. For those, that mistreat and bully others, don't understand the repercussions of their actions. For words are very hurtful and can be permanent.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this very special young lady. I didn't know her, but it's obvious from her story that she was a very special spirit. The world will never get to experience her talents. I've worked in emergency medical services for 38 years, and while I didn't know Carli Jo, I've know young men and women like her who have a difficult time understanding this crazy world. I can only pray that she is at peace, now, freed from the earthly bonds of sorrow and pain. God bless Carli Jo and you, her family who I know love her more than anything.

I did not know Carli or her family but she grew up in the same neighborhood that I did. Depression is real. Suicide is real. And it took the life of this beautiful young lady, whose life had just started and who's future looked bright and hopeful.

First time I met Carli Jo, last year, I cleaned her teeth at the dental office, I knew she was a very special girl and really caught my attention from the start! My own boys, ages 12 and 13, even remembered that night I came home from work sharing about what a neat little girl I met and her likes and interests.
